When did St. Emma live: in the eleventh century

Biography of St Emma:
Emma of Jesum, the first detectable citizen of Bremen, was a countess and great benefactress of the Church of Bremen, where her relative Unwan served as bishop. Especially after the death of her husband, the Saxon Earl Liudger, she began to support the Church. She was often sought in disputes and enmities as a peace mediator, since it was considered particularly fair. She founded a sanctuary in Stiepel in Bochum. St. Emma died on the 3rd December 1038 and was buried in the cathedral at Bremen. She was venerated as a saint just after her death.
